Bear-trap gate - Opponitz power plant
WIENSTROM
Because of their bad condition two existing bear-trap gates have been replaced by two new ones. Each bear-trap gate consists of a top flap and a bottom flap. The individual flap parts consist of a steel structure planked with wooden boards. The water level inside the bear-trap gate is controlled via inlet and outlet slide gates, thus controlling also the pool elevation of the head bay. Sealing at the bottom is effected via a sliding flat packing. Sealing at the lateral sliding surfaces is effected via a rubber angle section.
