In June this year a new billet inspection line, turn-key delivery of the Austrian manufacturer BRAUN Maschinenfabrik, was commissioned as scheduled at BÖHLER Edelstahl in Kapfenberg. The heart of this facility is a heavy-duty abrasive cut-off machine designed according to the state of the art. The complete material transport and handling equipment as well as the control systems were also supplied by BRAUN. With this highly flexible cutting line, BÖHLER Edelstahl continues a successful series: a great number of different BRAUN abrasive cut-off machines and a state-of-the-art billet grinding machine are operated in Kapfenberg as well as in the neighbouring Deuchendorf plant.
