To be able to offer North American BRAUN customers improved services and to better support them already in the planning phase of new projects, the Austrian machinery manufacturer BRAUN Maschinenfabrik GmbH has considerably extended the range of services of its US subsidiary BRAUN Machine Technologies, LLC. The new location of BRAUN Machine Technologies is Vanport, Pennsylvania. In cooperation with the company of KMA Manufacturing, Inc., also resident in Vanport, BRAUN can offer its American customers a faster, easier and sometimes cheaper service for spare parts, maintenance and repair. Certain plant components can also be manufactured in Vanport. Since October 2006 Otto Hiris has been in charge of the American BRAUN subsidiary as General Manager.

BRAUN manufactures abrasive cut-off machines and high-pressure grinding machines for the steel industry ,delivering these plants to everywhere in the world. Among the North American BRAUN customers there are companies such as CARTECH, SCOT FORGE, LATROBE STEEL, VALBRUNA-SLATER and SAINT-GOBAIN/NORTON.
