| Isidor Karl 1801 - 1866 |
Isidor Karl founded the firm in Schöndorf/Vöcklabruck. In the year 1848 he moved from Konstanz into the large economic area of the Austrian-Hungarian monarchy and acquired the property of Count Engl in Vöcklabruck, which complied very much with his wishes because of the available water power. Isidor Karl extended the castle and built a hammer mill and a crucible cast steel fabrication hall. His knowledge of the crucible cast steel fabrication which he studied in England was also the reason for the excellent quality of the products which resulted in the mill's outstanding reputation. |

| Johann Ulrich Isidor 1835 - 1907 |
Isidor Karl had 3 sons: Martin, Leopold and Johann Ulrich Isidor. Leopold became independent and founded a brewery in Puchheim (today main plant of Messrs.Spitz). Martin acquired the Zöblmühle at the factory's water channel. Johann Ulrich Isidor continuously extended the factory. Already in 1854 Martin and Isidor supplied file steel and cuirasses to the emperors' arsenal. |

In 1902 Isidor Adolf purchased the invention of the Swede Kjellin for the electric refining of steel. The steel mill was equipped with a steel furnace run by electricity. This was the first induction furnace of Central Europe. |

Martin Braun, born 1906, was technical manager and head of the construction department. The main ideas for automation and machines for the rationalisation of the file production, the frging machines and abraisive cutt-off machines were developed by him. |

Walter Dusl (brother-in-law) managed the organisation of purchasing, the logistics and the financing. He was essentially involved in the export of files. |

| Ernst Theodor Braun geb. 1924 |
Ernst Braun managed the organisation of the sale of the files and abrasive cutt-off machines, the personnel matters and introduced cost accounting. He also established contacts with other file producers all over the world and was responsible for the organization of the production and trade of abraisive coated paper.

Gerhard Dusl was responsible for purchasing and improved the distribution system of the files mainly in Europe, North and South America. |

| Martin Christian Braun born 1951 |
Martin Christian Braun became production manager after his activities in France and the USA. He introduced the electronic data processing and established the sale of steel structures for hydroelectric plants. In 1989 the firm was divided into the "machine factory-power plants" and the "file factory - production of abrasives" and the Dusl family was bought out. Since 1989 Martin Christian Braun is the sole owner of the "Braun Maschinenfabrik" and the "Braun Kraftwerke". |
