HP surface grinding machine type HP 6
Various alloys tend to cracking at the workpiece surfaces, especially after deformation processes such as rolling or forging. Depending on the requirements, an inspection of the material surfaces with subsequent removal of the surface flaws (cracks), general grinding of the workpiece edges that are especially susceptible to cracking, or smooth grinding of the whole surface will be necessary. In other cases the material surface gets scaled. HP surface grinding has proved particularly suitale for removing such scale, and has gained ground against scarfing, as it is much less environmentally harmful. In terms of plant conception fully developed material handling adapted to the relevant case of application is a very important aspect. BRAUN not only offers special single components (such as grinding carriages with material turn-over facilities), but is also in the position to deliver complete fully automatic overall plants.
